Whitehall doesn’t have the answers: the next government will need to look local

A new Locality report shows how local community organisations are re-engaging people where they are turning their backs on local democracy.

On 23 March, the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities announced that 83 projects had been awarded grants totalling £33.5 million, with Locality members being awarded £6.9 million.

With the COP climate summit over for another year, Locality members continue to take action on climate in their local communities. In our Locality manifesto we're calling for major reforms to make it easier to create community-led climate projects.
